Do you know what is the most important thing before a feast?

From generation to generation in Ukraine, every holiday both in the family and outside is accompanied by a wild feast. We have already become accustomed to impatiently awaiting these events and pampering ourselves with delicious food. Sometimes the festive consequences of a feast turn into a feeling of oversaturation, overeating and heaviness. And even with such a negative experience, not every one of us knows how to prevent these problems.

What is the most important thing to prevent such serious consequences before a feast?

  1. Never go hungry! (After all, at the table you will be ready to eat an elephant. This is what will interfere with further celebration or be in shape the next day.)
  2. Eat in advance!⠀(It sounds strange, but if you still want to not overeat during the celebration, then this is the main rule.⠀Shortly before the feast, you can eat some fruit (apples, bananas). This will relieve the feeling of hunger and at the table you will no longer "throw yourself" at the most high-calorie dishes, fatty, rich and unhealthy - because they give a feeling of satiety. In principle, such an approach is unlikely to please the gastrointestinal tract of even a healthy person. And the figure takes on new, not always pleasant shapes.)
  3. To start the meal, it is ideal to choose a salad seasoned with vegetable oil, yogurt, lemon juice or a soft drink: juice, compote, water.
  4. Starting the feast with a mayonnaise salad is fraught overeating, because the most delicious mayonnaise tempts you to add a couple more spoons... And the control button turns off automatically.
  5. If we talk about alcohol, then of course the "easiest" for a protracted celebration is natural white dry wine, but in intelligent doses, noble men's drinks (vodka, whiskey, cognac, rum, brandy, etc.) can also be "light".
  6. Traditionally, sparkling wines are not prohibited. But still, it is not recommended to abuse them!
  7. New Year's Eve, like any other holiday familiar to us, is not only a feast, but also cool emotions, crazy memories and "wild" dances. Therefore, it is very good to diversify it with a beautiful dance: your mood will rise, and physical recharge, and rest from the feast, and an additional opportunity for subsequent savoring of dishes, freeing the stomach a little, moving the masses along the gastrointestinal tract without additional effort.
  8. But when the terrible hunger is satisfied, then you can treat yourself to more caloric dishes, but it is better to eat small portions and thoroughly savor them with "33 chewing movements", which is often recommended by nutritionists and gastroenterologists.
  9. If you know that you will not be able to resist and will overload your body with delicious things, then it is better to drink 1 tablet or capsule of pancreatic enzyme during the feast, which will always help with digestion. But which drug you choose (festal, mezim, creon, pancreatin, pancreazim, etc.) depends on many factors. And even with access to free purchase of such an enzyme, still consult with your family doctor.
